As the Chief Sales Officer, I led the team that was responsible for winning the largest order ($5.9M) in the history of the company; I was responsible for closing all orders from the point of view of negotiating business terms and conditions; I supported the sales team with complex Solution Selling process. I also defined our sales process with clear control points and check lists to create a repeatable process and ensure efficient opportunity qualification, quality proposal creation and consistent message delivery.
|
As the Chief Strategist,
I developed partnerships with implementation organizations, and defined the key
messages for the | |
|
As the Team Leader, I structured the organization, hired people and fostered team spirit; I established regular communication processes in the form of weekly meeting, quarterly or semi-annual corporate meetings and monthly employee letters. I also initiated an employee performance system based on quarterly performance objectives. I was involved in hiring people across all functional areas (accounting, sales, presales, training, professional services and validation services).
|
As the Chief Operating Officer, I delegated many tasks to direct reports, initiated timely performance tracking, created a performance culture, and oversaw operational processes such as hiring, proposal management and delivery of services. |
Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., is an Information Technology (IT) consulting firm. The company specializes in helping Fortune 1000 and emerging middle-market clients plan, develop, and manage complex IT initiatives. My roles were varied according to the needs of the clients served.
|
Managed the implementation of Peoplesoft manufacturing solution that required significant customization in order to build an integrated distribution system where customer needs and delivery route information are used to drive production schedules and Just-In-Time (JIT) supplier deliveries; the system was used to reconcile all financial information from the field with daily bank receipts.
|
Led the team that documented the AS-IS and designed the TO-BE business processes for the entire order management cycle (marketing, demand planning, product pricing & promotion, order entry, inventory allocation, shipping, order delivery, invoicing & payment collection, bank statement reconciliation, salesmen commission calculation & payroll) - also participated in the analysis of operational processes; a key component of the work involved the alignment of the business process with business objectives and the mapping of the operating procedures into features of the IT solution.

|
Casting Qualification: specified, designed, implemented and tested
a profilometry technique that generates 3D surface maps of manufactured parts by
projecting structured light (Sun/VME); used FFT demodulation technique to
achieve 1/1000th inch depth accuracy; goal: prevent machining of defective
parts. | |

to analyze mosquito larva motion inside test vials; increased reliability to 99%
and tripled testing capability; built custom programmable window interface.
|
Bolt Grading: developed a correlation-based inspection technique
to classify bolts independent of their orientation; goal: prevent lot
contamination. | |
|
Smart Sensor: developed modular architecture for a smart sensor
product concept characterized by a self-learning capability for automated
inspection applications.
|

Schlumberger, primarily through its acquisition of Fairchild Semiconductors, had developed the leading Artificial Intelligence Group in the world. I was hired to develop software to automate the visual inspection of wafers made to ensure that all critical dimensions had been met during the manufacturing process, prior to packaging.
|
Developed software for wafer inspection: measurement of critical dimensions, wafer alignment and detection of foreign particles. |
Columbia University, under government sponsorship, has an extensive research program which aims at developing and testing new theories on human visual processing with the hope of developing automatons with similar capabilities. I joined the Vision Group (part of the Computer Science Department) to support the development of a real-time image processing library.
